Architectural Integrity
A modern interpretation of traditional Japanese Sukiya-zukuri architecture. Set in a bamboo forest on the outskirts of Kyoto, the Oak & Stone Villa balances the warmth of native Hinoki cypress with rugged, hand-carved river stone foundations, embodying the concept of Wabi-Sabi.
Arranged around a contemplative dry-stone zen garden, the villa is built with modular slide-away Shou Sugi Ban walls. These partitions allow the entire main pavilion to open directly to the garden, creating a continuous space where wind, shadow, and nature interact.
