Architectural Integrity
Positioned at the base of Table Mountain, Horizon House rises above the Atlantic shoreline. The structure employs rugged sandblasted granite masses to anchor the building against Atlantic winds, while an expansive floating teak terrace extends outward toward the endless horizon.
The layout embraces verticality and exposure. Living spaces are split across three cascading levels that trace the natural topography of the site. Louvered oxidized steel screens frame selected vistas, controlling solar gain while casting dramatic, shifting shadows throughout the day.
